There is absolutely no doubt that this project has been plagued by delays, and is far beyond the delivery time we expected — a number of issues have occurred, ranging from personnel changes (one third of our production team was let go, requiring that their work load be absorbed by the others), to a life-threatening illness to the principal designer (myself), which resulted in an extensive hospital stay and recovery — all of which resulted in massive amounts of lost development time. However, a late project is not an unfulfilled project, and certainly does not extend to consumer fraud. Communication has been constant, and unlike other delayed projects where no backer items have been delivered, delivery of the digital portions of the promised backer rewards has already begun — in fact, the majority of the materials have already been delivered: Of the core game rules book, 8 of 12 chapters have been sent digitally to the backers, with the remaining 4 chapters, and the physical printed edition to follow before the end of this year. The stretch goal of the fiction anthology (TALES OF THE FAR WEST) was delivered in EBook, MOBI and PDF format, as promised. The poster map has also been delivered in digital format. The remaining items are items that follow the release of the core book — the delay to the core book has delayed those as a result. (A collection of prints of artwork, which will ship with the physical copies of the book (no digital version of this was offered), and two supplements which will follow the release of the core rulebook.) In conclusion, Mr. Franklin and his fellow backers have backed a PROCESS, not pre-ordered a product. That process has definitely taken far longer than we expected that it would, and yet has been consistently delivered along the way, and will be completed in short order. As has been the case since the beginning of this process, I remain available for contact. We have not "taken the money and ran". The project will be completed, albeit later than we’d have liked, and delivery has already begun. Thank you for your interest in this matter, Gareth-Michael Skarka Adamant Entertainment
